Abstract: La obesidad es tina enfermedad crónica no transmisible cuyas cifras van en aumento a nivel mundial y Colombia no es la excepción. Conociéndose las múltiples consecuencias de esta. aún es necesario buscar estrategias que permitan el conocimiento de la enfermedad para la prevención de esta en un entorno comunitario. Es por eso que en esta revisión plantearnos el uso de un medio de difusión masiva, como lo son las redes sociales, cuestionando el impacto que las mismas pueden tener en la sociedad para la prevención de la obesidad por medio de los cambios con el estilo de vida. Se realizó una búsqueda en diferentes bases de datos. la cual arrojó 310 artículos y. como se explica en la metodología. finalmente 9 de ellos son los que se incluyen en la muestra final. ; Obesity is a non-communicable chronic disease whose numbers are increasing worldwide and Colombia is no exception. Knowing the multiple consequences of this. It is still necessary to seek strategies that allow knowledge of the disease for its prevention in a community setting. That is why in this review we consider the use of a mass media, such as social networks, questioning the impact that they can have on society for the prevention of obesity through lifestyle changes.
