The key to our surprise at the outbreak of the financial crisis and the dismantling of many of the social and labor rights with the consent of the citizens is the manipulation and control of communication, precisely when the development of ICT (information and communication technologies) have revolutionized many fields, including journalism, originally a counter, or libraries, which have lost their role as main receptacles of knowledge, in a society-network in which information has become a commodity while the mass self-communication apparently allows autonomy and distancing from power.
