    • Abstract:
The displacement of persons in Colombia has to be understood as an uprooting and an imposed exile. The Bible could be of great help to have a new reading of this tragedy. We know that the Jewish people experienced the exile to Babylon and several prophetic texts give us new meanings to understand the tragedy from God´s point of view. With the help of the Bible it is possible for a society to deal with the uprooting of its citizens not only by fostering their assistance but also educating them for the reconciliation after the conflict. Life and peace are our share beyond the deadly and cruel war.
