AKTIVITAS ANTIBAKTERI EKSTRAK ETANOL BIJI KOPI ROBUSTA (Coffea canephora) TERHADAP BAKTERI Pseudomonas aeruginosa (Antibactery Activity Of Ethanol Extract Robusta Coffea (Coffea canephora) On Bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui daya hambat ekstrak etanol biji kopi robusta terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Penelitan ini dilakukan secara eksperimental menggunakan ekstrak etanol biji kopi robusta dengan konsentrasi 25%, 50%,75% dan untuk uji aktivitas bakteri menggunakan metode difusi atau Kirby-Bauer. Data hasil penelitian ini dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan melihat dan membandingkan zona hambat antar perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi pemberian ekstrak etanol biji kopi robusta (Coffe canephora) maka semakin besar daya hambat pertumbuhan Pseudomonas aeruginosa yakni, pada konsentrasi 25% yaitu sebesar 7,7 mm, kemudian berturut-turut pada konsentrasi 50% sebesar 9,52 mm, dan pada konsentrasi 75% sebesar 10,88 mm. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak etanol biji koi robusta dapat menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Pseudomonas aeruginosa. (The aim of this study is to know the antibacterial effect of ethanol extract of robusta coffee to the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. This research was experimentally conducted using robusta coffee extract with the concentration of 25%, 50%, 75% to the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa using Kirby-Beaur method. This study is analysed descriptively by looking inhibition zone for each treatment. The result of this study shows that the higher concentration of robusta coffee extract, the greater inhibition zone to the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, consicutively 25% is 7,7 mm, 50% is 9,52 mm and 75% is 10,88 mm. It can be concluded that ethanol extract of robusta coffee has an antibacterial effect to growht of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. )
