      FARC (Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarios de Colombia), the largest and longest-running guerrilla force in Latin America, at one point controlled about 60 percent of the drug production in Colombia. By 2016 the armed guerilla conflict between FARC and the Colombian government had killed 260,000 people and displaced 7 million others.
